Samoter, the Triennial International Earth Moving, Site and Building Industry Exhibition, celebrates its 29th edition scheduled 8-11 May 2014. In 2011, the Exhibition attracted 98,000 visitors and more than 900 exhibitors (of which almost 30% international) - once again confirming its status as a leader and landmark for the national market, as well as a player of significant calibre on the international market.
The Exhibition is an authoritative platform for meetings between the main players in the sector (networking) and provides complete, timely information about the market and related innovations (information), ranking as a vital showcase for learning about products and services (business), strategies and new trends (training).
The 2014 edition will see Samoter pursue its commitment to broader environmental attention by expanding its work to improve awareness in the building industry world as regards new prospects for sustainable sites and constructions. Against this background, the focus of the next edition will be "sustain.ability", a theme that will characterise the entire event through convention initiatives, analysis and training areas for economic, social and environmental sustainability in constructions.
In keeping with tradition, the Exhibition will be animated and enhanced by thematic activities in specfic sectors and cardinal events such as the Technical Innovation Competition (the "showcase" for technical and technological evolution concerning energy saving, productivity, ergonomics and user safety) and the International Award (recognition to figures standing out for their work to promote the development and success of building industry activity). Moreover, the 2014 edition will also dedicate special space to a series of initiatives intended to celebrate the prestigious anniversary of 50 years since the first edition of Samoter.
