The new machinery directive 2006/42/CE, the coming Safety at Work Law and implicationsfor set-ups installed on vehicles

Thursday 6 March 2008, 15.00
Signori Gallery (between halls 10 & 11) - Room B

The new machinery directive was ratified almost two years ago and must now be applied by member states as of 29 December 2009.
This directive replaces the previous 97/38/CE directive and introduces numerous new concepts requiring specific analysis.
Within the scope of the field of application of the directive, which is extremely broad and complex, sector by sector analysis is required as regards the impact of these new dispositions.
The reduction of accidents at work demands close attention to worker training and more timely verification of lifting equipment. Such activities, by law, must be supervised by employers.
The convention organised by ANFIA aims to focus on topics affecting the vehicle sector with specific reference to applications on industrial vehicles used in site work.
